Juan Diego Cisneros

Juan Diego “Jhonny” Cisneros died on August 31, 2026, in Grand Rapids, Michigan, United States. He was born on December 8, 2000, in Grand Rapids, and his life remained closely connected to the community where he was born.

Jhonny was raised by his grandparents whom he was extremely fond of. Jhonny attended different high schools two being; Innovation Central High School & Ottawa Hills High School. After completing 12th grade, he took pride in becoming a father to his one and only son; Mateo Cisneros.

He also enjoyed spending time with family and friends, making endless memories at family gatherings, going downtown to explore the city he grew up in, and learning new skills that would expand his knowledge. Additionally, Jhonny enjoyed soccer and boxing - being extremely well at both sports.

More specifically, Jhonny grew up on Franklin and Division at his family business started by his grandfather, Juan Cisneros. Approximately five years before his passing, Jhonny became the third generation to run Cisneros Tire Service; making him a successful businessman. During his time at the shop he met several of people who became close friends or family.

Jhonny will be remembered as hardworking, dedicated, intelligent, caring, humble, family oriented and the life of every party.

Jhonny is preceded in death by his Great-Aunt, Julia Cisneros Sanchez and Cousin, Eulices Delarosa. He is survived by his son, Mateo Cisneros; grandparents, Elsa & Juan Cisneros; mother, Elsa Cisneros Martinez & step-father, Guino Martinez; aunts and uncles, Norma Crain, Pepe (Jose) Cisneros, Chencho (Juan) Cisneros, Stephanie Christensen, Luis Cisneros; siblings, Oliver, Rosa, Teresa, Edison Sullivan Cisneros; cousins, Alita Cisneros, Navea Cisneros, Thalia Cisneros, Armanii Cisneros, Junior Cisneros, Gino Cisneros, Jaren Cisneros, Xavier Cisneros, Damieon Christensen and many, many more.

Family and friends are invited to gather for services on Tuesday, September 8, 2026. Visitation will be held from 10:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. A Service will follow from 1:00 PM to 3:00 PM at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan. Burial will take place later that day at Garfield Park Cemetery, 2222 Kalamazoo Ave SE, Grand Rapids, Michigan.
