Joseph E. Swiatek age 76 of Muskegon passed away on Friday, March 22, 2024.
He was born on November 13, 1947, in Muskegon, to Alfred & Dorothy (Sturgeon) Swiatek.
Joseph proudly served his country from 1966-1968 in the U.S. Army achieving the rank of Specialist 4th Class. He was awarded the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Medal.
He was funny, outgoing, loved visiting friends and family. He Loved to play cribbage and he enjoyed many years of Bowling. He also enjoyed his hunting trips with his cousin Terry "even though I don't know if they were really hunting more like goofing around for 2 weeks haha". His favorite saying "you bet your sweet dupa I'm polish" He was a member of the Polish Roman Catholic Union for Many years. And the local Eagles.
Survivors include his daughter, Laura Kiesgen Keith; granddaughter, Gabrielle Castagna; sister, Carlene Oliver; and niece, Cheyann (John) Vanhammen.
He is preceded in death by his parents; Alfred Swiatek and Dorothy Swiatek, ex-wife, Lillie Swiatek; and brother, Al Panazoo.
A Celebration of Life will take place from 1:00 pm until 4:00 pm on Sunday, October 27, 2024 at the Polish Roman Catholic Union Of America, 1890 Henry St, Muskegon.
