Joseph Gallagher

Joseph H. Gallagher, age 76, of Grand Rapids, passed away Sunday, March 5, 2017 at Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The son of George Sr. & Helen (O'Shaughnessy) Gallagher, he was born on June 23, 1940 in Detroit. He was a proud U.S. Army Veteran. Joseph is preceded in passing by his parents; and siblings, Helen, George Jr., James, John, Michael, Francis, Charles, and Gerald. Surviving are his brother, Robert (Donna); along with several nieces and nephews. A memorial service with full military honors will take place at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, March 31, 2017 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, 3000 Monroe Ave N.E., Grand Rapids, where visitation will be held one hour prior to the service. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
