Jorge Zavala Gutierrez

Jorge Zavala Gutierrez, age 57, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly on Tuesday, August 15, 2023. He was born March 26, 1966, in Uriangato, Mexico, to the late Filemon Zavala Aguilera and Angelina Gutierrez Fuentes. Jorge married the love of his life Maria de los Angeles Arellano Garcia and started a family together. Jorge and Maria had two children together and decided to raise their family in the United States. Jorge worked many years as a carpenter with Grand Rapids Chair Company. He is survived by his wife, Maria; son, Jorge (Ally) Zavala Arellano; daughter, Elizabeth Zavala Arellano; 5 siblings; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Visitation will be held on Friday, August 18, 2023, from 10:30 am until 11:30 am. at Holy Name of Jesus Parish, 1048 Chicago Dr SW, Wyoming, MI 49509. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Friday at the church at 11:30 am with Rev. Charlie Brown officiating.
