Jonathan Granfeldt

Jonathan Robert Granfeldt, age 27, of Kalamazoo, passed away unexpectedly on September 16, 2017. The son of John & Elizabeth (Swim) Granfeldt, and beloved brother to Scott, he was born on December 24, 1989 in Arlington Heights, Illinois. He has many wonderful cousins, aunts, and uncles who loved him very much. Jon attended undergraduate studies at Illinois State University, and was currently enrolled in the Kalamazoo Valley Community College/Western Michigan University Sustainable Brewery Program. He was employed at the Kalamazoo Beer Exchange. Jonathan loved his co-workers and enjoyed playing on their softball team. He qualified as an Illinois State swimmer as a backstroker, and also was an Eagle Scout (the highest ranking in the Boys Scouts of America). Jon loved Chicago sports teams and snowboarding. He had a deep passion for music, especially listening to Griz, and attending many music festivals with friends.
