John Soltis

John Paul Soltis, age 57, of Kalamazoo, passed away Sunday morning, October 19, 2008, at Rose Arbor Hospice in Kalamazoo. Born October 18, 1951, in Ironwood, Michigan. Son of William & Joyce Soltis. Preceded in death by his father, sister Barbara, brother Phil, and niece Amanda. John was a loving husband for 31 years to BonniBelle (Waber) Soltis. He will always be remembered as being a wonderful and exceptional father to Angel (Michael) Stach and Joseph Soltis, and an extraordinary and devoted grandfather to his two granddaughters, Olivia and Makaileigh. John is also survived by two brothers, one sister, nine brothers-in-law, eleven sisters-in-law, and many nephews and nieces. John worked at Micro Machine as a layout technician. He enjoyed his motorcycle, long nature hikes, classic rock music, and his job. A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, October 25, 2008, at Oakwood Bible Church, 4100 Oakland Drive, Kalamazoo.
