John Schultz

John Schultz, age 86, of Grand Rapids, passed away on Monday, March 16, 2015 at home surrounded by family. The son of John & Mary (McDonald) Schultz, he was born July 8, 1928 in Grand Rapids. A proud U.S. Army veteran of the Korean War, John retired from Grand Rapids Public Schools after 31 years as a custodian. John loved gardening, antique cars, and antique musical instruments. He was preceded in death by his parents; and his son, John Schultz. Surviving are his wife, Kathy; five daughters, Susan Schultz, Karen Schultz, Sandra Schultz, Judy (Frank) Syrek, and Carrie (Chad) Fox; twenty-three grandchildren; and eighteen great-grandchildren. Memorial services will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Saturday, March 28th, at Bethlehem Lutheran Church, 250 Commerce Ave. S.W., Grand Rapids.
