John Nelson

Mr. John Christian-Edward Nelson, Jr., age 60, of Jenison, passed away Tuesday evening, May 26, 2009 at his home. The son of Anna Rita (Pustinger) & John Christian-Edward Nelson, Sr., he was born on Oct. 13, 1948 in Torrington, Connecticut. A decorated veteran of the Vietnam War, John proudly served with the U.S. Marine Corps, and worked as a pipe fitter with Etna Supply. He was preceded in death by his parents; and a brother, Henry Nelson. Surviving are his wife, Christine Anne (Gunther) Nelson of Jenison; their son, Matthew Nelson and Melanie Justis of Wyoming; a granddaughter, Kyla Nelson of Wyoming; a sister, MaryAnn & Gene Berlinski of Winchester Center, Conn.; several nieces and nephews; and special friend and cousin, Howie Schroeder of Torrington, Conn.
