John Maus

John Warren Maus, age 77, of Mecosta, passed away early morning on Friday, September 09, 2022 at home under the care of his wife and Spectrum Health Hospice. The son of the late Robert Maus & Dorothy Dennison, he was born on October 19, 1944 in Grand Rapids. On October 19, 1994, he married Janet Kinville, and they made their home in Chippewa Lake until his retirement from Utility Contracting in 2003, and several years later they moved to Mecosta. The son of the late Robert Maus & Dorothy Dennison, he was born on October 19, 1944 in Grand Rapids. On October 19, 1994, he married Janet Kinville, and they made their home in Chippewa Lake until his retirement from Utility Contracting in 2003, and several years later they moved to Mecosta. John loved the outdoors. His hobbies were fishing, hunting, snowmobiling, and traveling. John's favorite place was his cabin on the Pine River. Surviving are his wife Janet of 28 years; his three kids, Scott (Molly) Maus, Jeff (Jennifer) Maus, and Sheryl (Jamie) Edstrom; three step daughters, Cheryl Pyatt, Linda Gray, and Jacqueline (Jerry) Haywood; 12 grand kids; several great grand kids; his sister, Sharlene (Bruce) Leusby; his twin brother, William Maus; and his favorite fishing buddy, John Krenz. John was preceded in death by his parents and brothers, Randy, Jack, and Daniel. John will be dearly missed by all. Per Johns request their will be no services.
