John Kulikowski

John A. Kulikowski, age 67, of Muskegon, passed away unexpectedly Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Mercy Health Muskegon Hospital surrounded by family. The son of Antoni & Anne (Fox) Kulikowski, he was born on September 28, 1949 in Leicester, England. He was a high school graduate of Muskegon Catholic Central, and college graduate of Western Michigan University. He then proceeded to get his masters from Western Michigan University. John retired from teacher for the department of Corrections for the state of Michigan. ntoni Leicester John had many hobbies and interests one being he loved studying history, especially the Civil War. An avid sports fan John enjoyed Notre dame football, the Red Wings, and the Detroit Tigers all of which he watched every week with his daughter, Kathryn. His love for baseball continued to show as he played with and coached his son Tony to become a great baseball player. They also shared the same joy for muscle cars as well. He loved traveling with his wife Deborah and then his kids once they were brought into the world. John loved to laugh but even more loved hearing his wife Deborah laugh. He always said her laugh was contagious and could light up the room. John will be greatly missed by many. He may be gone but never forgotten as his memory with us live on with those who had the privilege to know him. John was preceded in passing by is parents; sister, Chrissy; in-laws, Marvin (Joyce) Bennett; and brother-in-law, Christopher Bennett. Surviving are his wife, Deborah Kulikoski; son, Tony Kulikowski; daughter, Kathryn Kulikowski; step-daughter, Alex; sisters, Veronica (Bob) Wysozan and Jeanne; nieces, Alexia Wysozan, Alissa Rankin and Aleah Wysozan; along with many cousins in Ireland, Poland and Chicago. His wishes were to be cremated and not to cry and have a funeral but instead to take some time and laugh about all the good times everyone shared with him. He wished to have people celebrate his life rather then to be sad that hes gone. His loved ones plan to honor his wishes as there will be no service.
