Jack Hawkins passed away December 16, 2018 (1 day before his 79th birthday) at Spectrum Health Blodgett Hospital. He was born December 17, 1937 to John & bessie Hawkins in Ionia.
Jack was the owner of Mainliner Lures for 35 years, selling casting spoons, crawler harnesses, spinner baits, pike spoons, etc., to the sport shops around Michigan and as fara as the St. Lawrence Seaway. Jack & Doris enjoyed spending winters at their home in Naples, FL., playing cards with friends, and fishing with his buddies.
Surviving are his wife, Doris; son, Todd; grandson, Seth DeJong; step-daughter, Cheryl Fets; brother, Robert; special nephew, Steve Kosiara; and several other nieces and nephews. Jack has donate his whole body for research to MedCure.
Instead of flowers, the family would like donations in Jack's honor to The American Heart Association or The National Kidney Foundation of Michigan.
Visitation with the family will be held at 12:00 p.m., Saturday, May 4th, 2019 at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. SE, Wyoming, 49548, with a Celebration of Life starting at 1 p.m.
