John Cole

John Vincent Cole, 69, passed away Monday, March 18th, 2019 at Holland Hospital. The son of Lawrence and Dorothy (Thorpe) Cole, he was born July 26, 1949 in Detroit. John was preceded in death by his parents, Lawrence and Dorothy Jean Cole and two brothers, Robert and Larry Cole. He is survived by the love of his life Susan (Ferguson) Cole; children, Alison Cole, Paul (Anna) Cole and Kathleen Cole; grandchildren, Jena & Drue Burkey, Jonah Pfau, and PJ & Alexis Cole. John was known for his contagious laugh, great stories and wonderful letter writing. He loved spending his days enjoying the outdoors, whether it was at the golf course, riding his bike into Saugatuck, or sitting on the patio reading his iPad. John had a love for many things, but his love of life was by far the most memorable. His passion for making people laugh, shined even on the darkest days.
