John Barnes

John R. Barnes, age 88, of Ionia, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at home surrounded by family. The son of Raymon & Mildred (Barnes) Barnes, he was born on April 20, 1928 in Lansing. John was a proud U.S. Army veteran, who served his county. He went on to become an attorney were he retired after 50 years. Surviving are is wife of 48 years, Diane (DeYoung) Barnes; and children, Danna (Mike) Fuller, Dave Barnes, and Jay Barnes. Family will be having a private memorial service at a later date. Honoring his wishes, cremation will take place. Arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids.
