Joe Lopez Posada, age 89, passed away peacefully on Easter morning, April 5, 2026. He was born on March 19, 1937, and lived a long life marked by service, strength, compassion, and deep love for his family and community.

Joe was a retired deputy sheriff of Allegan County, a role he carried with pride, dedication, and honor. Throughout his life, he was known as a man who helped others in times of need, touched the lives of so many people, and left a lasting impression on all who knew him. He was deeply loved and respected not only by his family, but also by friends, neighbors, and countless others whose lives were made better by his kindness, guidance, and generosity.

Above all, Joe was a devoted family man. He cherished his loved ones and took great pride in the family he helped build. He is survived by his loving children: Leonel O’balle, Corey Posada, Jarred Posada (Melyssa Posada), Joe Posada (Tricia Posada), Jason Posada, Jesse Posada (Maria Posada), James Posada, and Leonor Posada.

He was preceded in death by his wife Joyce Geraldine Posada, and most recently by his wife Eva Glendola Posada.  He is also survived by his loving siblings: brother Lupe Posada (Ester Posada); sisters Maria Posada, Elidia Posada Martinez, and Olivia Lopez; as well as many beloved grandchildren and great-grandchildren.

Joe Lopez Posada will be remembered for his caring heart, his willingness to help others, his years of public service, and the love he gave so freely to his family and to all those around him. He was loved very much and will be missed beyond words. His memory will live on in the hearts of the many people whose lives he touched.
