Joann Ellen Groendal, age 75, of Barryton, passed away Tuesday, April 24, 2012 at home under the loving care of her family. The daughter of Harold & Martha (Selvig) Nicholson, she was born on May 27, 2012 in Grand Rapids. Survivors include her husband, Kenneth Allen Groendal of Barryton; and two daughters, Kim powers, and Kathy Groendal of Pierson. Honoring her wishes, cremation will take place. A Memorial Service will be held May 5th 2012 at the Barryton Church of Christ, 18221 30th Ave. (M-66 N.), Barryton MI 49305 from 1:00 to 3:00 p.m. Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
