Major Jiles Brantley Williams, age 83, of Battle Creek, passed away on Sunday, July 3, 2011 at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Battle Creek.
The son of Jiles Bentley & Loretta Vivian (Coffey) Williams, he was born on May 20, 1928 in Oakland, California, and was a career veteran of the United States Air Force, retiring with the rank of Major after 20 years of service at Air Force hospitals as a medical administrative officer.
Committal services, with full military honors rendered by the U.S. Air Force, at Fort Custer National Cemetery, are being planned.
Arrangements were entrusted to the Michigan Cremation Company, Grand Rapids.
