It is with great sadness that the Jackson family announces the death of Jerry Lee Jackson, born in Detroit, MI on August 5, 1942. Jerry had a passion for people and made friends everywhere he went. His laugh was contagious, and he always had a smile for everyone. He was an avid photographer, loved to gather with friends and family, play cards, boat, fish, golf, and hunt. In his younger years, Jerry was a Pastor and youth mentor at his churches, who took immense pleasure in sharing his love of Christ. He also played the guitar, sang, and loved to play and coach softball and work on cars with his sons.
Jerry is survived by Gloria Wolfe Jackson, his beloved wife of 59 years, his stepmother, Genevieve, his brother Ron (Tammy) his sons, David (Toni) and Mark (Tina), four grand-children, Ryan, Katie, Jake and Abigail. Jerry is preceded in death by his parents, Arthur, and Francis Jackson. Additionally, Jerry and Gloria have many "adopted" young men and women he mentored over the years.
