Jeffrey Rasmussen

Mr. Jeffrey Bruce Rasmussen, age 56, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday morning, July 13, 2010 at his home after a lengthy illness. The son of Bruce & Rasalyn (Nielsen) Rasmussen, he was born on July 10, 1954 in Greenville and attended Greenville Senior High School. For many years, Jeff worked as a machine operator at Federal-Mogul until poor health forced his early retirement. A talented artist and craftsman, Jeffrey enjoyed drawing and woodworking, but delighted in spending time with his sons and grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his mother, Roz Rasmussen. Surviving are three sons, Joshua Rasmussen, Jacob Rasmussen & Krystal Croad, and Justin Rasmussen, all of Greenville; his father, Bruce Rasmussen & Glenna Cowles of Belding; three grandchildren, Majestic, Evan, and Skyler Rasmussen, all of Lakeview; a brother, Rick & Robin Rasmussen of Greenville; his maternal aunt, Donna & Jack Jorgensen of Stanton; a niece, Brooke Judd; a nephew, Jonathan Rasmussen; his sons mother, Patricia Doxey of Grand Rapids; and several cousins. Visitation is Friday from 6-8 p.m. at the Christiansen Funeral Home & Cremation Center, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday. Pastor Joel Heron of Greenville Community Church will officiate and burial will take place privately at Rest Haven Memory Gardens, Belding.
