Jeffrey Alan Campbell, age 59, was welcomed into the arms of Jesus on August 4, 2020, after a two year battle against cancer. He passed away at his home, in Sparta, surrounded by his family.
Jeff was born on October 1, 1960, to John "Jack" and Joanne Campbell of Moline. He graduated from Wayland High School in 1978. October 10, 1987, Jeff married his loving wife, Susan (Hage) Campbell. During their 32- year marriage, Jeff and Susan shared many adventures and created special memories together.
Jeff was an active member of the Sparta Church of the Nazarene and worked heavily with the "Hand2Hand" project to feed local children. He was an avid Harley Davidson fan and rider and took part in many rides for charities, along with rides to simply enjoy God's splendor.
Jeff was employed by Dematic Corp - Rapistan for 30 years and was named Salesman of the Year in 2020. While at Dematic, Jeff created strong friendships, including a special one with his boss, Jon Baker, who encouraged Jeff to continue working and to not give up. Jeff touched many hearts and lives in his 59 years, and he loved and cherished his friendships very much.
Jeff is survived by his wife, Susan Campbell; his parents, John "Jack" and Joanne Campbell; brother, Jon (Christine) Campbell; sister, Jill (Paul) Tatrow; daughters, Heather Kramer, Melissa Jackson and Tammy (Bob) Nelson; and numerous loving grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nieces and nephews.
The family wishes to thank Spectrum Health Nurse Navigator, Dawn Klem for guiding them through the two-year process of fighting cancer and for becoming a dear friend to both Jeff and Susan. The family would also like to thank Kindred Hospice of Grand Rapids for the amazing care they provided during the last weeks.
A Celebration of Jeff's life will take place at Sparta Church of the Nazarene, 665 13 Mile Rd., Sparta, on August 29, 2020, with time to visit with the family at 1 p.m. and the service beginning at 2 p.m.
