October 18, 1936 — February 26, 2010

Jean Ann (Leske-Anderson) Parish of Allegan passed away, Friday February 26th at home with her family by her side at the age of 73. Jean was born in Bay City, Michigan on October 18, 1936 to Frederick & Margaret (Sheehan) Leske who both preceded her in death; also preceding her are her in laws, Keith and Murvell Parish (Adelaide, Australia). Surviving are her husband, Neville Keith Parish (Allegan, MI) and five children; Marge (Rich) Velasquez (Adrian, MI), Cindy (Russ) Huizar (Bay City, MI), Harry (Katie) Anderson (Brisbane, Australia), Betsy (Kurkie) Morris (Saginaw, MI) and Tina-Mari (Phil) Warner (Allegan, MI). Also surviving are her sister and brother in-law, Maxine and Jack Robinson (Bay City, MI), 14 grandchildren, 16 great grand children, 2 nieces, 2 nephews and 2 loving dogs, Bandit and Sara. Jean loved all animals. She enjoyed spending time with her dogs and feeding and watching the birds and she also enjoyed cooking. Over the years she proudly worked as a lab technician. Jean was employed at Mercy, General and Samaritan Hospitals in Bay City, Allen Medical Building in Bay City, Abbotts Laboratories in Sydney, Australia and Booth Clinic in Grand Rapids. A special thanks to the Wings of Hope Hospice of Allegan, the staff of Allegan General Hospital, the Cancer Hematology and Radiation Center of Holland and all those involved in her care during her illness. Cremation has taken place and a Memorial Service in celebration of Jean's life will be officiated by Pastor David Ferranti at Bay Valley Christian Church; 2535 E. Wilder Road, Bay City on Thursday March 4th from 12-1 pm with a lunch to follow. Memorial contributions may be given to the American Humane Society.
