Lieutenant Colonel Jean Margaret Johnson, age 88, United States Army Nurse Corps (Retired), R.N., Ph.D., passed away Thursday, June 15, 2023. She was passionate, determined, intelligent and fierce - a loyal friend who will be missed. Her struggle with dementia is over. Rest in peace. Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated at 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, June 27, 2023 at St. Charles Catholic Church, Greenville, with the Rev. Father James B. Wyse presiding. Military honors, rendered by the United States Army, concluded the ceremonies at the church and Rite of Committal followed at St. Charles Catholic Cemetery, Greenville.
