Jean Marie (Kluting) Dietrich, aged 94, passed away at Fountain View of Lowell, on Tuesday, March 22, 2022. She was born July, 20, 1927, in Coopersville, Michigan, the daughter of Charles and Joann (Schmidt) Kluting.
She grew up on a farm in Coopersville Michigan. Later in life she meant Vincent Dietrich the love of her life and married him on September 2, 1946. They had five children, Vikke, Ann, Sid, Chuck, and Chris.
They moved a lot, but their final move was to Kalkaska on the Boardman River.
Jean loved to garden, fish and take care of Vince.
Sadly, Vince passed away in 2004. Jean then moved down to Muskegon to be closer to her friends and daughters.
After a fall, she moved to Fountain View of Lowell Assisted Living, where she died, peacefully. Ironically, she passed away 18 years after her beloved Vince, so they have the same wedding anniversary and death anniversary.
She was preceded in death by a son Chris, daughter-in-law Terri, grandson Adam, three sisters and a brother.
Jean leaves behind a loving family of Vikke and Gary Grueneberg, Ann and John Schoenborn, Sid and Donna Dietrich, and Chuck and Sue Dietrich; eighteen grandchildren; twenty-four great grandchildren, and two great-great-grandchildren.
We will have a small family only funeral later this summer.
Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
