Jason Marc Hansen, age 36, of Greenville, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, April 6, 2016 at MidMichigan Medical Center - Gratiot in Alma after collapsing at work.
The son of Phillip & Patricia (Brown) Hansen, he was born on September 30, 1979 in Grand Rapids and was a 1997 graduate of Greenville High School. Jason began his career at Greenville Tool & Die and was currently employed as an engineer at Alma Products. On September 1, 2012, in Greenville, he married his babe, Kristina Marie Kassion.
Jason enjoyed shooting trap at the Belding Sportsman Club, walleye fishing at Saginaw Bay, and bow hunting at Grandpa's farm, but his greatest joy was being with his family and friends. In death, Jason gave the gift of life by being a tissue donor.
He was preceded in death by an infant niece, Alexi Nicole. Surviving are his wife, Kristina Hansen of Greenville; their children, Gracie Elizabeth Hansen, and Owen Gerald Hansen, both at home; his parents, Phillip & Patricia Hansen of Greenville; three sisters, Angie & Brett Peterman of Gowen, Kelly & Ryan McDonald of St. Johns, and Michelle & Brandon Beck of Greenville; his grandparents, Gerald & Barbara Hansen of Trufant, and Lucy & Ronald Brown of Greenville; parents-in-law, Mark & Becky Kassion of Greenville; a sister-in-law, Cyndi & Johnny Cantu of Greenville; two grandmothers-in-law, Marianne Ballge of Flushing, and Leona Kassion of Holland; and many, many aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Visitation is from 2-4 and 6-8 p.m. on Sunday at Christiansen Cremation & Funeral Care, 511 S. Franklin Street, Greenville, and from 10-11 a.m. on Monday at Greenville Community Church, 6596 S. Vining Road, Greenville, where funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday. Jason's former pastor, the Rev. Dave Perry, will officiate and a luncheon will follow. Private family committal services will take place at Eureka Township Cemetery.
