Janice Cook

Janice (Jan) Irene Cook, age 78, passed away on Friday, February 25, 2022 in Kalamazoo, Michigan. She was born June 16, 1943 in Homer, Michigan, the daughter of Ralph and Dorothy (Smith) Cook. Jan's parents and one grandson, Jeremy, preceded her passage to heaven. She is survived by her children, Christina (Daniel) Ingram, of Springville, IN, Stephanie (Larry) Sanders, of Litchfield, MI, Glenn Maurer, of Bedford, IN, and Adam (Angela) Gilbreath, of Vicksburg, MI; nine grandchildren, Michelle, Joshua, Ashley, Tiffany, Antonio, Nicholas, Ashyr, Adam, and Dylan; fifteen great grandchildren; brothers, Phil (Deborah) Cook and David (Debra) Cook. Jan enjoyed helping out with her young daughter's groups, the Bluebirds and Campfire Girls. She loved crafting, especially ceramics, and for a few years she had a kiln making many treasured pieces. Jan worked in various fields throughout the years. She enjoyed NASCAR, and especially Dale Jarrett #88. As per Jan's wishes, cremation has taken place. A Celebration of Life is tentatively being planned for some time around her birthday, however, a date, time and location have yet to be determined.
