Janet Pike

Janet Maxine Pike, 77, of Jenison, MI died in her home on June 11, 2024. She was born in Grand Rapids, MI on February 28, 1947. She worked as a waitress at Rainbow Grill restaurant for many years. Jan was a loving mother and grandmother. She was very involved in her kids and grandkids lives, she went to all their games and events and enjoyed spoiling them. Jan’s hobbies included gardening, reading, cooking, and sitting on the beach at the lake. She was crafty and loved making beautiful wreaths and Christmas trees for everyone she knew. Jan enjoyed having coffee outside with her neighbors and she was always kept company by her cats, Belle and Tink. She always looked forward to international dinners with her friends. Jan had a big personality and made friends at all the doctor’s offices she went to. She was preceded in death by her parents, Lois and John Kemperman; and her brother, Tom. She is survived by her children, Kim (Jeff) Dunn, Tim (Jamie) Vanderkolk, Kevin (Aimee) Pike, and Mark Pike; Her grandchildren Jake (Ale) Dunn, Josh (Macy) Dunn, Chase (fiance Shelbie) Pike, Jordan Dunn, Sydney Vanderkolk, Sophie Vanderkolk, Tyler Pike, Katelyn Pike, Cameron Pike; and her great granddaughter Nora Dunn. There will be a celebration of life for Jan's family and friends on June 28, 2024 from 4-7pm at Hager Park in the Devries room. It will be a time of sharing memories and remembering Jan. This will be open-house style with a light dinner.
