James Williams

James Ellsworth Williams Jr., our beloved brother and uncle, was born on April 2, 1948, at Pennock Hospital in Hastings, MI. He passed away peacefully on September 2, 2019, from natural causes at the age of 71. Jim graduated from Thornapple Kellogg High School in 1966 and attended Grand Rapids Junior College. He enjoyed astronomy, playing scrabble, the Detroit Tigers and other Michigan sports teams, Coca-Cola, 60's music, maps and traveling, and had a spectacular memory. Jim is survived by his aunt, Mary Robers; sisters, Betty Jean Williams and Joan (Roger) Urbanski; brother, John (Mary Ann) Williams; and several nieces, nephews, and cousins. The family would like to acknowledge the kindness of Jim's neighbors in Middleville, Dr. Steven G. Wildern MD, and the staff of Faith Hospice at Trillium Woods, with special thanks to Pam Newton, RN. A burial and celebration of Jim's life has taken place privately with interment at Mount Hope Cemetery, Middleville, MI. Those who wish may make memorial contributions to Faith Hospice.
