James Ivory Pagan, born on January 21, 1954, passed away peacefully on September 7, 2026, leaving behind a legacy of hard work, family pride, and cherished memories.

Raised in Detroit, Michigan, James received his education in local schools before beginning a long, dedicated career with Ford Motor Company. During his time at Ford, he took immense pride in his work crafting prototype vehicles—a reflection of his lifelong passion for fast cars.

Outside of work, James was an avid fisherman and a true movie and television enthusiast who had seen practically every show and film out there. He also had a great appreciation for a good meal and never turned down good food.

James was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Corine and James Pagan, and his loving wife, Jackie Pagan.

He was a devoted father and grandfather whose family was his greatest joy. He is survived by his three children: Andrea Pagan of East Saint Louis, IL; Jenine (Melvin) Spicer of Sterling Heights, MI; and Jonathan (Kelly) Pagan of Grand Rapids, MI.

He also leaves behind his sister-in-law, Sheryl Thomas; his four cherished grandchildren—Lamont, Lauren, Jordan, and Jon Jr.—along with extended loved ones who will miss him dearly.

At James's request and in accordance with the family's wishes, private arrangements will be held among his immediate family.
