James Edward “Jimmy” Myers, age 65, of formerly of Edmore and Six Lakes, passed away Friday, December 6, 2024 at Mission Point of Greenville with his sister by his side and under the care of Corewell Health Hospice.
The son of Clarence Albert & Alice Lelia (Hunt) Myers, he was born on July 5, 1959 in Sheridan, Michigan
For many years, Jim worked at Blanchard’s Thriftway in Crystal where he became quite skilled at skinning deer and processing venison. He was of collector of all things and enjoyed watching cartoons and old westerns, especially “Gunsmoke”.
He was preceded in death by his father, Clarence A. Myers of April 17, 1996; his mother, Alice L. Myers, of January 4, 1999; two sisters, Rosemary Myers and Janet Taylor; a brother, David Myers; a niece, Beverly Myers; and a great-great nephew, Brandon R. Wright.
Survivors include two sisters, Marsha & Donald Wright of Sheridan, and Mary Holt of Edmore; a sister-in-law, Joan Myers of Stanton; and several nieces and nephews.
