James Miller

James Russell Miller, age 75, of Edmore, passed away Wednesday, June 18, 2014 at the home of his grandson, Jeremiah & Lynn Miller, under the loving care of his family and Hospice of Michigan. The son of Ruth Louise (Sifers) & Russell James Miller, he was born on October 12, 1938 in Lincoln, Nebraska. For many years Jim worked in the potato fields of Montcalm County in a variety of jobs. He was preceded in death by his life partner and companion, Julia Eldred; his mother, Ruth Tracy; and two daughters, Sandra Kay Miller and Patricia Lynn Miller. Surviving are his children, Sharon & Robert Woodcock of Dalton, Georgia and Russell & Loreal Wells of Troy, Kansas; eleven grandchildren; twenty great grandchildren; two sisters, Beverly Jean Bryant of Mt. Pleasant and Carolyn A. & Jerry McElroy of Belton, Missouri; a brother, Dale E. & Mattie Miller of Fenwick; and many nieces and nephews.
