James Luikens

James "Jim" M. Luikens, age 74, of Hudsonville, passed away on February 18, 2022. He was born on May 14, 1947, in Grand Rapids. Jim graduated from Grand Rapids Catholic High School and studied marketing at the University of Michigan. Jim was a true "car guy". He worked for Berger Chevrolet as their High Performance Performance Parts Manager. Jim attended the SEMA show a total of 48 times. He later worked in marketing for Mr. Gasket and other leading performance parts companies. Jim worked for various companies in the automotive industries until he founded his own consulting and a marketing services devoted exclusively to the racing industry. Jim continued to work in the market and was published numerous times in many publications. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, (616) 452-3006.
