We are saddened to share the passing of James "Jim" Alden Jenkins, a generous and loving individual, who was born on September 20, 1946, in Grand Rapids, Michigan. A hardworking man, he was a laborer by profession, but a gardener by passion. His love for the outdoors was only surpassed by his love for his family, who he loved above all else.
James is survived by his son, Jason Jenkins, daughter-in-law, Lynnea Page-Jenkins, and their daughter Carlie Jenkins. His son Brian. His siblings, Kathy Christensen, Dawn Jenkins, and Robert Jenkins, fondly remember their beloved brother.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Theresa Jenkins; brothers, Tom, Dan, and John; sister, Mary; and his son, Matthew Jenkins.
Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 10, 2024, at 10:00 am EDT at Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, 3627 Linden Ave. SE, Grand Rapids, MI 49548, followed by military Honors and a memorial service at 11:00 am EDT at the funeral home. Military Honors will be rendered by the United States Army and Kent County Veterans Honor Guard.
