James Eugene Dumont, 85, of Kalamazoo Michigan, passed away Friday January 13, 2023, at home in Kalamazoo. The son of John & Margarite (Woodley) Dumont, he was born on March 11, 1937 in Benton Harbor, Michigan. A veteran of the United States Air Force, James served honorably during the Vietnam War Era and attained the rank of Airman Basic. John was also awarded the National Defense Service Medal and Good Conduct Medal. Committal services, with military honors, are at 10:30 A.M, Wednesday July 12, 2023 at Fort Custer National Cemetery, 15501 Dickman Road, Augusta, Michigan.
