James Thomas Bishop

James passed away at home at 3:52 a.m. Saturday, October 10, 2026 holding his loving wife's hand after a brief battle with cancer.

He was born on August 20, 1946 in Cardwell, MO.

He is survived by his wife, Mary, his daughter Christine (Mark) DeVries, sons Jimmy (Beth) Bishop, Darren (Angie) Bishop, Jason (Tammy) Bishop, step-son Kevin Richmond, and step-daughter Kathy Fox, 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, siblings Nancy Sessums Armstrong, Joe (Nancy) Bishop, and John (Theresa) Bishop, and many nieces and nephews.

Cremation has taken place and a graveside service was held. If you wish to make a memorial contribution in James' honor, please sent it to Loaves and Fishes Kalamazoo, Michigan, or St. Judes Research Hospital.
