Jacqueline Boss

Jacqueline "Jackie" Anne Boss 9/19/1936-6/17/2025 Jackie was a wonderful wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who was much loved. Jackie was a woman who lived her faith every day and was a member of Rosewood Reformed Church. Jackie and her husband, Clare Boss opened their home to more than 50 children as foster parents for many years. She graduated from Grand Valley State University in 1987 at 50 years old with her BSN in nursing and spent most of her career at Metropolitan Hospital as a nurse manager in the Rehabilitation and Long Term Ventilation units. After retirement, she and Clare enjoyed many travels with family and friends. Jackie had a large family and many close friends. She truly lived her life to the fullest, always willing to help others. Jackie was preceded in death by the love of her life, Clarence "Clare" Boss; parents, Arie and Henrietta Griffioen; parents-in-law, Clarence and Wilma Boss, sister in-law, Mary Kuiper; foster son of many years, Calvin "Butchy"; and son-in-law, Robert Engelke. Jackie will be greatly missed by her children, Laurel (Rick) Dragicevich, Cynthia Engelke (John Siddons), Kathleen (Bob) Coffin, Amy (Tom) Bennett, Rena Boss, Sonia Stubbs, and Tonia Lipsey. Her many grandchildren and great-grandchildren cherished their Grandma Jackie. She will also be missed by her brothers and sister in-laws, Jim Kuiper and Rick and Barb Boss. Visitation will be held on Monday, June 23, 2025, from 6:30p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at Rosewood Reformed Church, 2795 Rosewood Street, Jenison, MI, and will continue on Tuesday, June 24, 2025, at 10:00 a.m. at the church with a memorial service at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Faith Hospice or Rosewood Reformed Church.
