Jack Perry

September 20, 1982 — January 8, 2023

Jack Leroy Perry, age 40, of Crystal, went to be with his savior, Jesus, on Sunday, January 8, 2023. The son of James and Julia McEwen, he was a beloved father, son, brother, cousin, nephew, and friend and will be truly missed. Jack loved spending time with his friends and family. They meant the world to him. He grew up on the lake in Crystal, Michigan and enjoyed hanging out at the beach, taking the kids swimming in the lake, and on nature walks. Jack was known for having a heart of gold and would give the shirt off his own back to any family member or friend that was in need. He was a hard worker and passionate about his job. He owned his own business (Jack's Restoration), which he ran with his best friend, and looked forward to going to work every day. He was creative and could build anything he set his mind to do. Jack had a passion for music, he played the guitar and drums. We will cherish all the memories of Jack teaching the kids in the family how to play and having jam sessions with friends and family. He also enjoyed roller-skating, ice skating and playing football. Jack was proceeded in death by his step-father, James McEwen; his son Matthew Perry; and uncle, Charles Perry. He will be lovingly remembered and dearly missed by his mother, Julia McEwen; his sister Carmen (Preston) Scheuneman; his brother James (Mandi) Perry; his daughter, Ally Perry; his son Jaxon Perry; his stepchildren, Olivia, Austin, Andrya, Seth, and Kenidee; his nieces and nephews, Aidan and Yasmin Scheuneman, Dylan, Sean, Adi and Lucas Perry; ex-wives Nichole and Jennifer; and girlfriend Gina; as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins. Honoring his wishes, cremation has taken place, and a memorial gathering will be held on Sunday, January 15, 2023 at 1pm at the Crystal Township Cemetery with a celebration of life to follow at the Crystal Township Hall. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Christiansen's Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Greenville, (616) 754-5638.
