Jack E. Harter, age 69, of Fenwick, Michigan, passed away on Saturday, May 25, 2024 at home.
The son of Orlie Levi & Elizabeth Harter, he was born on July 1, 1954 in Middleton, Michigan. On July 6, 1998, he married Betty Lou in Palo, Michigan.
Jack took pride in his work, he dedicated himself to forty years at Herbruck's Poultry Ranch until his retirement. You could often find Jack out hunting, trout fishing, or playing Keno at his favorite local spots, like The Rusty Nail or RJ's. He would also enjoy an ice cold beer and a cigar from time to time while paying a game of solitaire.
He was preceded in death by his parents. Surviving are his beloved wife of 26 years, Betty Lou Harter; his sisters, Eunice Harter & Noel Johnson, Ada & Gerald Howell, Betty & Robert Campbell, and Dorothy & Lawrence Elliott; a brother-in-law, David Hoy; his grand children, Jason Hoy and Leanna Jones; and his great-granddaughter, Naveah Jackson. He is also survived by the pets he shared with Betty; their 4 dogs, Zeus, Luna, Sandy, & Angel; and Pepper the cat.
