Jack Fosburg

Jack R. Fosburg Jack Robert Fosburg, age 83, of Byron Center, passed away Saturday, February 10, 2024 at Trinity Health - Grand Rapids (formerly Mercy Health-St. Mary's Hospital) with his family by his side. The son of Robert H. & Bess (Hage) Fosburg, he was born on November 13, 1940 in Grand Rapids. On July 23, 1965, in Grand Rapids, he married the former Patricia Lee Howard and together they raised two children and enjoyed nearly 60 years of marriage. A proud member of the International Brotherhood of Teamsters Local 406, Jack spent his most of his working years in the transportation field and he and Pat built six homes over the years. He enjoyed golfing and loved animals. A friend to all. He was preceded in death by his parents; and three brothers, Staff Sgt. Rick Harold Fosburg, who was killed in action in Vietnam on May 7, 1968, Kenneth Fosburg and Paul Fosburg Surviving are his wife, Patricia Fosburg of Byron Center; their two children, Jennifer Fosburg of Redondo Beach, California, and Rick Fosburg of Cedar Springs; two grandchildren, Tabitha Fosburg and Rick A. Fosburg; two great-grandchildren, Wixsom and Sunny; and several nieces and nephews. In the months to come the family will have a celebration of life gathering.
