Jack Elliott Britten, age 83, a longtime resident of Pierson, Michigan, passed away on Monday, March 30, 2026 at MediLodge of Grand Rapids. The son of Gerald & Beatrice (Bailey) Britten, he was born on December 14, 1942 in Grand Rapids. After graduating from South High, Jack proudly served his country in the United States Army active duty from 1961 to 1964 and continuing in the reserves until 1967. On September 22, 1962 in Denver, Colorado, he married Susan Marie Stuart, and together they enjoyed over sixty-three years of marriage and raised three sons.

Along with his father and brother, Jack owned and operated Raenell Press in Wyoming. He was a long time coach for District 9 Little League and Kelloggsville High School. He enjoyed golfing, deer hunting and hosting deer camp for several years, and was a member of the Tri-County Eagles in Sand Lake.

Jack was preceded in death by his parents; his brother, Jerry Britten; his sister-in-law, Nancy Britten; and a nephew Mike Britten. He is survived by his wife Susan; their three sons, Dennis & Jennifer Britten, Kevin Britten, and David Britten; his grandchildren, Joshua and Jennifer Britten, Dylan and Elo Britten, Kate and Patrick Carleton, Emily Laramy, Betsy and Joe Voorhorst, Alex and Maddie Britten, Kaitlin Britten and Jonathon Britten; his great-grandchildren, Liam, Tucker, Riley, Maggie Kate, Logan and Maxwell; and many nieces and nephews.

A memorial service and celebration of life will be held at a later date.
