Inamae Skutt, age 88, passed away Tuesday evening, August 31, 2021 at Mission Point of Belding. The daughter of Cornelius & Jean (Goman) DeKorne, she was born on July 14, 1933 in Grand Rapids and was a 1951 graduate of Grand Rapids Christian High School.
Inamae earned her bachelor's degree from Calvin College and two master's degrees from Western Michigan University and worked as an educator in both public and private schools in the Grand Rapids area. She loved photography, traveling, music, reading, embroidery, and gardening.
She was preceded in death by her parents. Surviving are her children, Dottie & Rich Broersma, Joanne & Bill Tippett, David & Christie Skutt, and Roger & Tesa Skutt; a sister, Wilma Kunard; eleven grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; and a nephew, Raymond Kunard.
Graveside committal services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Thursday, September 9, 2021 East Nelson Cemetery, east of Cedar Springs on 18 Mile Road N.E. (between Pine Lake and Tisdel Avenue), with Pastor Jeremy Scripps of Pine Grove Community Church officiating.
