Howard Lee Martin

Howard Lee Martin, age 55, passed away on January 16, 2026. He was deeply loved and will be forever missed by those who knew him, especially the family he devoted his life to.

Howard was a steady and dependable father—the kind of man his children could always count on. He showed his love not through grand gestures, but through consistency, presence, and being there when it mattered most. To his children, he was a constant source of support, grounding, and quiet strength.

He was a loving life partner to Brandy Ham, with whom he shared companionship, loyalty, and life’s everyday moments. Their bond was one built on trust, care, and standing beside one another through all seasons.

Howard was the proud father of Kennedy Martin, Gracey Martin, and Cannon Martin. His love for them was unwavering, and his legacy lives on through each of them—in the lessons he taught, the values he modeled, and the steady presence he gave so freely.

He is also survived by his mother, Linda Martin, and his brothers, Kenneth Martin and Edward Martin, who will remember him as a devoted son and brother.

He was preceded in death by his father, Earl Wyman Martin, and his grandparents, Richard Martin and Beatrice Martin.

Those who knew Howard will remember him as reliable, honorable, and genuine—a man who showed up, kept his word, and loved his family deeply.

He leaves behind a space that cannot be filled, but a love that will never fade.

A celebration of life will be held for Howard at Diamond Hall in Grand Rapids Michigan on February 21, 2026 at 4 PM.
