H.J. Kronewitter

H.J. "Joe" Kronewitter, age 73, of Maston Lake, went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Tuesday evening, October 23, 2012 under the loving care of his family and Heartland Hospice. Born on November 6, 1938 in Mishawaka, Indiana, Joe served his country for 22 years in both the U.S. Army and the Army National Guard. In addition, he worked in commercial printing and in the pressroom at The Lansing State Journal. He was preceded in death by the mother of his children, Kay Francis Kronewitter; and by a sister, Jean Nelson. Surviving are his wife, Lynne; his boys, Joe & Angie, Corky, Jeff & Candy, and Kevin & Tracy; the child of his heart, Cheyenne; his sisters, Sharon Kiester, Nila Laisure, Cora Hendrix, and Ann Moyer; and his brother, Harry. Also surviving are many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Memorial services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Sunday, October 28, 2012 at the Maple Valley Complex, 239 W. First Street, Trufant. Pastor Madelyn Thompson, Heartland Hospice chaplain, will officiate and military honors will be rendered by the U.S. Army National Guard.
