Herman "Billy" Stuart Pertler, age 81, of Spring Lake, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, December 7, 2022. He was born February 8, 1941, in Little Falls, Minnesota, to the late Herman and Helen (Ringwelski). After graduating from high school, Billy went onto college and obtained his Masters Degree. He worked many years as an executive with a telecommunications company until his retirement.
Billy married Sheila Kay Acre on September 22, 2003, in Reno Tahoe, Nevada, at The Little White Chapel on the Truckee River. Billy loved traveling and golfing, going to the casinos, but most of all he loved spending time with his family, especially the grandkids.
Survivors include his wife, Sheila; children, William (Lynn) Pertler, Angela (Glen) John, and Bryan (Kelley) Pertler; grandchildren, Shane and William Pertler, DJ Felton, Sydni John, and Mallory and Maggy Pertler; great-grandchildren, Cambreigh, Owen, Lorelei and Juliet Pertler, and Brixton Felton; step-son, Joshua Stott; step-granddaughter, Patricia Rehberg; step-grandsons, Wyatt and Tyler Rehberg; best friends, golfing buddies, and partners in mischief, Robert Latour , Edward walzack, Robert Lunt, and many more; and Debbie Crone, Ryan Crone, and Kerstin Crone who were very significant people in Billy's life whom he loved dearly.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Gregory; and two sisters.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Hospice of North Ottawa for their help and compassion throughout this difficult time.
Per his wishes cremation has taken place and no formal services will be held at this time.
