Henry Karczynski

Mr. Henry Karczynski, age 85, formerly of Westland, passed away Tuesday afternoon, June 26, 2007 at the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans. The son of Charles & Anna (Krupka) Karczynski, he was born on May 7, 1922 in Detroit. A veteran of World War II, Henry proudly served his country in the U.S Navy. Henry had worked as a printer and enjoyed bowling. Survivors include four nephews, Ron Toth of Redford, Joe Toth of Oakland Township, Dennis C. Karxzynski of Livonia, and Wesley Karczynski of Brighton. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 28, 2007 from the chapel of the Grand Rapids Home for Veterans, 3000 Monroe Ave., with the Rev. Father Michael Danner officiating. Military honors, rendered by the Kent County Veterans Honor Guard, will follow will with burial taking place in the Grand Rapids Veterans Cemetery.
