Hazel Vandusen

Hazel Viola VanDusen, age 88, of Allegan, passed away peacefully on Sunday, October 11, 2020. She was born January 16, 1932, in Quincy, Michigan to the late Orville and Viola (Sevey) Strauss. Hazel worked at Angle Steel for a few years and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary VFW Post 3030 for many years. She loved to read and crochet and most of all spend time with her family. She will be greatly missed. Survivors include her two sons, Mike (Jean) VanDusen, of Otsego and Dennis VanDusen, of Plainwell; and many grandchildren, great-grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. Hazel was preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Viola; sons, Ralph, Tom, and Steve; and siblings, Fred, Herman, Phobie, and Ruth. Per her wishes cremation has taken place and no public services will be held at this time. Cremation arrangements are entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006.
