Hazel Lynch

Hazel Bernice Lynch, 97, of Grand Rapids, Michigan, formerly of Traverse City, passed away on February 17, 2020, under the loving care of her family and caregivers at Clark Retirement Community. The daughter of Edward and Vida (Warren) Weber, she was preceded in death by her devoted husband of 53 years, James Edward Lynch, whom she married on April 19, 1941; and her three siblings (Margaret, Raymond and Mary). Hazel is survived by her five children and spouses: Dr. James E. Lynch, Jr. (Priscilla), Kinney L. Lynch (Deborah), Deborah A. Riley (Raymond), Terri C. Halwig and Melissa M. Powers. She had 11 grandchildren and 18 great grandchildren. A homemaker for most of her life after a brief stint as "Rosie the Riveter" during WWII, Hazel provided an amazing childhood for her children, full of love and laughter, alongside her prankster husband.
