Harry Yeo

October 18, 1926 — February 9, 2022

Harry Lodel Yeo 10/28/1926-2/9/2022 Harry Yeo of Jupiter Florida passed away peacefully February 9, 2022, at the age of 95. Harry was a remarkable golfer, beginning in his early teen years and continuing to play 18 holes until he was 88. His fascination with golf began at a young age when he would stand outside the fence at the golf course and retrieve poorly hit golf balls, selling them back to the golfers for a nickel a piece. He inherited a set of golf clubs from his older brother, James and never looked back. He was an all-around athlete, in fact he was a 4-Letter Man at Eastern High School for basketball, football, baseball, and track. He then served in the U.S. Marine Corps during WWII and upon his return, went on to play football for Ferris State University. Harry was born in Lansing, Michigan. He married his high school sweetheart, Doris Jameson, and raised his family there. After 31 years of service working for the State of Michigan, he retired, and he and Doris moved to Jupiter, Florida in 1988 where they enjoyed golfing with friends year round. Harry was preceded in death by his wife of 58 years, Doris (Jameson) Yeo. He is survived by his 3 sons, Greg, Jim, and Chuck; his daughter, Sherrie; and 4 grandchildren. He currently holds the record for being the longest living Yeo. Per his wishes cremation has taken place and a graveside service will be held this summer at Chapel Hill Memorial Gardens in Lansing Cremation arrangements were entrusted to Michigan Cremation & Funeral Care, Grand Rapids, 616-452-3006, exclusive providers of Veterans Funeral Care.
