Harry Glenn Blount, age 80, of Greenville, passed away Tuesday, January 2, 2024 at his home after a sudden illness. The son of Thelma L. (Bowers) & Tyler L. Blount, Sr., he was born on January 18, 1943 in Belding, where he graduated from high school in 1961.
Harry retired from the former Tower Automotive in Greenville, had been active in the Greenville Corvette Club and participated in many car shows. He enjoyed building projects and taking care of his beloved cats, but found his greatest joy in time spent with his family… especially his grandchildren and great-granddaughters.
On May 10, 1968 he married Linda Kay Anderson and together they raised two sons and enjoyed 47 years of marriage until Linda passed away on May 23, 2015. He was also preceded in death by his parents; a granddaughter, Gabrielle Grace Blount; three brothers, William T. Blount, Tyler L. Blount, Jr., Thomas L. Blount; and three sisters, Virginia Minard, Margaret Cain, and June C. Middling.
Surviving are his two sons and a daughter-in-law, Greg & Melissa Blount, and David Blount, all of Greenville; five very loved grandchildren, Jenna & Eugene Kroesing, Maddison Blount, Logan Blount, Taylor Blount & fiancée Zackory Hickok, and Carmen Blount; two great-granddaughters, Violet Hickok and Piper Kroesing; and many nieces and nephews.
