Harold Scott Tewksbury, age 68, of Idlewild, Michigan, passed away Monday, September 15, 2025 at his home under the loving care of his family and Corewell Health Hospice. The son of Beverly (Boos) Matthews, he was born on December 10, 1956 in Grand Rapids.
Harold was an avid outdoorsman, and enjoyed gun and bow hunting and fishing with his step-father-in-law, Fred, and close friend, Dave Tibbets. He was a volunteer firefighter with the Yates Township Fire Department and was a devoted family man and friend.
He is survived by his wife of over forty-eight years, Christine Ann Tewksbury; his brother, Brian Tewksbury; his father-in-law, Theodore Vander Vlist; a sister-in-law, Kimberley & Michael Van Dorp; a niece and a nephew, Calli Van Dorp and Mason Van Dorp; a close friend, Joe Rogers; his two new Newfoundland puppies, who he was looking forward to raising, Sasha and Zoey; and many other family and friends.
