Mr. Harold Lee Moore, age 72, of Belding, formerly of Ionia, passed away Thursday evening, April 20, 2006 at Spectrum Health United Memorial-United Campus, Greenville. The son of Charles H. & Lila May (Osburn) Moore, he was born on June 24, 1933 in Ferris Township, Montcalm County. A proud veteran of the U.S. Army, Harold served in Germany during the Korean Conflict era. He retired from the Ionia County Road Commission after 22 years of service as a mechanic. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed fishing, hunting, and mushrooming.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his wife, Roberta Lee (White) Moore; two brothers, Lloyd and Paul; two sisters, Doris and Virginia; and his long-time friend and companion, Grace Manley.
Surviving are his children, Roger Lee & Vicki Moore of Zephyrhills, Florida, Brenda & Brian Ritenburgh of Orleans, Daniel Lee & Violet Moore of Muir, and Kristine Moore of Belding; seven grandchildren, Justin Vargo, Alex Creighton, Megan Ditmar, Shayla Moore, Seth Moore, Ryan Ritenburgh, and Eric Ritenburgh; and many nieces and nephews.
Graveside committal services, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 25, 2006 at East Montcalm Cemetery, Greenville, with military honors rendered by the Ray I. Booth American Legion Post 101.
