Harold Leversee

Harold "Doug" Douglas Leversee, age 67, of Portage, passed away on Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at home surrounded by family. The son of Harold A. & Johanna H. (Schipper) Leversee, he was born on December 5, 1950 in Kalamazoo. Harold was a proud U.S. Navy Veteran serving during the Vietnam War era. Doug enjoyed camping and fishing. He also loved being in his garage, his favorite part of the house. Doug was preceded in death by his parents. He is survived by his wife of 47 years, Cheryl; children, Amy (Todd) Earle, and Peter (Dawn) Leversee; siblings, Bill Leversee, Patricia Quackenbush, and Kathy Racz and her spouse and Doug's best friend, Tom Dimock; as well as many nieces and nephews; 6 grandchildren, 1 great-grandson, and 1 great-grandchild on the way.
